State Representative Susan McLain, representing Forest Grove and other western Washington County locales, will host her first town hall of the post-2025 legislative session Tuesday, July 22 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cornelius Public Library.

"We accomplished some big things for working families in Oregon this Session," McLain said in a legislative update email newsletter. "I am proud of our wins on major issues like education, healthcare, affordable housing, and consumer protection," the Forest Grove legislator said.

"This Session also ended with critical work left unfinished—we did not pass a Transportation Package," McLain said. "Over the past two years, a broad, statewide coalition came together and developed a comprehensive plan to maintain and improve our multimodal system. This proposal didn’t make it across the finish line, and the consequences are already impacting communities across the state," McLain added.

McLain co-chairs the Joint Committee on Transportation.

McLain said the town hall will focus on what happened during the legislative session, which adjourned on June 27, the ODOT budget issue and other topics.

"I look forward to hearing your thoughts, questions, and ideas," McLain said.

The Cornelius Public Library is located at 1370 N Adair Street in Cornelius.

The luncheon, which requires registration and a $20 fee for chamber members and $22 for non-members will be held at the Forest Grove Community Auditorium (1915 Main Street) on Monday, July 28 at 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be catered by Prime Time.
