Windstorm knocks down trees, damages Forest Grove homes, businesses

A windstorm tore through Forest Grove starting Monday afternoon, taking out trees, damaging at least one apartment building, knocking out power for homes and much of downtown and damaging at least one business Monday.

Flood Watch, Wind Advisory issued for most of Gales Creek area

The Portland office of the National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for much of Northwest Oregon, including the greater Gales Creek region. The watch is in effect through late Tuesday night. It's just one weather hazard expected.
