One person was seriously injured and a dog killed in a motorhome fire in the Dilley community on Saturday.
Forest Grove Fire & Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the 43000 block of SW Dudney Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 27 in Dilley.
According to FGF&R, their crews were dispatched at 3:08 p.m. Saturday and had been told a motorhome was on fire. After learning the fire had spread to a nearby building, the fire was upgraded to a structure fire.
"Crews arrived to find a motorhome fully engulfed and flames spreading to a nearby trailer and garage," FGF&R said in a press release.
One person was burned and was transported to a burn center in Portland with what FGF&R described as serious injuries, and a dog was found dead in the motorhome.

The fire was quickly put out, while crews stayed at the scene for more than hour to check for hotspots in the garage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Forest Grove Fire & Rescue spokesperson Matt Johnston told News in the Grove Monday morning.
Forest Grove Fire & Rescue said 22 fire personnel responded to the scene, with crews from the Cornelius Fire Department, Gaston Fire District, Hillsboro Fire & Rescue, Elsie-Vinemaple Rural Fire Protection District, AMR Ambulance, the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Forest Grove Police Department, and Oregon State Police assisting.
