The gates at Fern Hill Road are up, blocking access to a popular route for Forest Grove commuters trying to get to the east side of the county.
“Fern Hill Road is closed between Taylor Way and Geiger Road due to flooding,” the Washington County Department of Land Use and Transportation said in a message.
Two gates—one at Taylor Way and one at Geiger Road—on Fern Hill Road are shut by county crews as water floods the roadway.

Closed since Friday after floodwaters overtook the roadway and a driver and their car became trapped in floodwaters, needing rescue, it was the second such closure this rainy season.
