Forest Grove
Pelagic Brewing has new expanded hours.
"We’ve updated our hours to serve you even better! Stop by and see us:
Monday–Thursday: 11 AM–9 PM
Friday: 11 AM–10 PM
Saturday: 9 AM–10 PM
Sunday: 9 AM–9 PM."
Use Forest Grove Police Station front door area for buying and selling
"We'd like to extend an invitation to anyone meeting up with online buyers/sellers to use the area outside our front door as a safe space to exchange items," the Forest Grove Police Department said.
"Exchanges are welcome any time outside the front doors. The area is lit at night, there is a phone outside that directly connects to dispatch, and - Smile! You're on camera!"
Probably don't buy and sell illicit items there, but what do I know.
Gales Creek
Work party and free firewood at Gales Creek Church
Need firewood? Three large oak trees fell recently at the Gales Creek Church, and a work party on Saturday, Nov. 8 is an opportunity to take home free firewood.
The event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Workers must bring their own chainsaw, safety equipment, fuel and other items. Those with chippers, shredders, or a wood splitter were encouraged to bring them as well.
Coffee and lunch will be provided. No pets or children are allowed due to safety reasons, the church said.
Those arriving must first check in with a point person onsite before beginning work.
The Gales Creek Community Church is located in downtown Gales Creek at 9170 N.W. Sargent Road.
Hagg Lake
Throughout the month of November, Hagg Lake visitors can search for 15 ceramic mushrooms by local artist Gwyneth Manley.
