Cardholders with the Washington County Cooperative Library Services, which includes libraries in Banks, Forest Grove and North Plains can now reserve passes for a handful of area attractions through the library systems Adventure Pass program.
Limited passes to Portlands Lan Su Chinese Garden, Portland Japanese Garden, Portland Art Museum, Pittock Mansion, the Oregon Garden in Silverton, a one free day-use parking fee waiver at the 26 Oregon State Parks (including Stub Stewart outside of Buxton) that require such a fee, and Hillsboros Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
As of this storys publishing, all passes for the Portland Art Museum and the Portland Japanese Garden had been claimed, with more expected to be available the first day of next month.
Cardholders may reserve one of each pass in a calendar year. For more information, visit the programs website.
Make a library your destination
Looking for other adventures through the library system? A summer program available through August 31 encourages visitors to make a stop at 16 member libraries throughout Washington County with the WCCLS Passport.
The instructions are simple:
Pick up a passport at your local library. Patrons of all ages are welcome to participate.
Get a stamp at every location you visit from June 1 through Aug. 31.
When youre done, neatly write down your name, contact info and number of stamps collected in the space provided.
Cut out and return the slip to any Washington County library by Sept. 4, 2022, to be entered into a random prize drawing.
Prizes include tote bags and gift cards to Dutch Bros, Powells Books and McMenamins.
