A plethora of Halloween events will great trick-or-treaters and adults looking for an evening activity in Forest Grove on Oct. 31.

Businesses
There are two business community events in Forest Grove on Oct. 31.
In downtown Forest Grove, "Trick or Treat the Merchants" will see the business community in downtown Forest Grove open their doors to trick-or-treaters from 4 to 7 p.m. the Downtown Association of Forest Grove, formerly known as the City Club of Forest Grove, has organized the event. Participating businesses will hang orange posters in their storefronts.
In the eastern portion of Forest Grove, businesses have come together to throw the Halloween Boo Bash from 4 to 6 p.m.
Participating locations include Wauna Credit Union, Ace Hardware, Accident Care Chiropractic, Papa Murphy's, Starbucks, Mod Pizza, Black Rock Coffee Bar, Papa John's, Pink Spoon, Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers, and Sherwin-Williams.
Elsewhere, individual groups and businesses are throwing their own parties.
Haunted Theatre
Running since Oct. 24, Theatre in the Grove's Haunted Theatre of Temporal Terror has several days left to go. This events roundup is focused on Halloween Day, but we'll mention that they're open October 29 and 30, too from 7 to 9 p.m. (tickets here).
On Halloween, there are two options available. The full ticketed experience is open from 7 - 10 p.m., while a stripped-down kid-friendly free version will coincide with the downtown Forest Grove "Trick or Treat the Merchants."
"This is a scaled down version of our haunted theatre without actors to scare you," the theatre said.
Church events
Crossroads Church will host a "trunk or treat" event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.
"We will have our parking lot full of decorated cars/trucks for kids to visit and receive treats, candy, or prizes," the church said in a social media page for the event. "We will also have indoor activities!"
Bars and venues
A number of Forest Grove and Gales Creek businesses are hosting Halloween-themed celebrations.
Gales Creek
In Gales Creek, the Gales Creek Tavern will host a Halloween part beginning at 8 p.m. Costumed patrons will be entered into a raffle, and a costume contest will be held.
Forest Grove
Waltz Brewing will host the "Halloween Bash at the Brewery" featuring live music from Forest Grove favorite Trask River Redemption and JT & Andy Duo. Music starts at 6 p.m., and there will be a costume contest as well.
Red Rooster Saloon will host Halloween at the Red Rooster Saloon from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The tavern will have food and drink specials bar games, giveaways, and from 8 to 10 p.m., will host the Fireball Girls with free samples and merch.
Bullets, Burger & Brews will host the Bullets, Burgers & Brews Halloween Bash starting at 8 p.m. The event will feature live music from Bootleg Ridge. A costume contest will round out the event as well.
McMenamins Grand Lodge will host the Haunted Halloween House Party at McMenamins from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. A DJ, bars on each floor of the Children's Cottage, and a costume contest are on tap.
Zesti Food Carts will host the Halloween Costume Party at Zesti with DJ Portland starting at 8 p.m. with DJ Portland starting at 9 p.m. A $50 prize will be awarded for the best costume.
