Residents in rural western Washington County remained without power Tuesday afternoon, and at least one road remained closed due to a downed tree and power lines as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Portland office of the National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for much of Northwest Oregon, including the greater Gales Creek region. The watch is in effect through late Tuesday night. It's just one weather hazard expected.
The U.S. Postal Service Mail Box that was located in Gales Creek near the Rural Fire Station was removed by the Forest Grove Post Office a couple of months agoleaving the residents of the valley with no place to mail letters.
