During a short Forest Grove School Board meeting held Tuesday afternoon, three new members of the Forest Grove School Board—Brisa Franco, Peter Truax, and Alma Lozano—were sworn into office.

District parents and community members will get a chance to meet the new leader of the Forest Grove School District at a meet and greet event scheduled for September 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Echo Shaw Elementary School.
The Forest Grove School District board met Monday evening for a special board meeting to discuss the next steps in selecting a new superintendent to lead the administration of schools in Gales Creek, Dilley, Forest Grove, and Cornelius.
Students in the Forest Grove District left school early on Friday and have yet to return to the classroom because of icy weather and dangerous driving conditions. There's no school Thursday, district staff confirmed Wednesday evening.
