Fire crews extinguished a dumpster and brush fire at Bi-Mart Wednesday night at the same location a trailer was damaged by fire in late December. The building was not damaged.
One person is dead following a residential fire, Forest Grove Fire & Rescue said in a message to News in the Grove. The fire was near the corner of A Street and 26th Ave, according to the PulsePoint app.
Forest Grove Fire & Rescue Chief Jim Geering will speak to CPO 13, which serves Verboort and other Forest Grove-adjacent rural communities on mutual aid agreements.

"Come on in, shop with us and support our local business," said Forest Grove Bi-Mart Assistant Manager Will Gresens. He and several other staff were working to clean a clogged storm drain, which had flooded the bay where the exterior fire had started.
A motorist drove their vehicle into the flooded roadway before county crews could put the gates up on Fern Hill Road and ended up in need of rescue. Fern Hill Road is now closed.
"As far as rural schools, we just want to remind folks that soon enough the weather will be foggier, the roads slick, and the daylight even less, so it's important to think about those bus stops that may be ahead as we come around corners during the commute," FGF&R's Dave Nemeyer said.
