After causing a crash in Cornelius and near Verboort, a fleeing driver was tackled and arrested after a PIT maneuver was used to force her off Gales Creek Road west of Stringtown Road.
Forest Grove Fire & Rescue said that Gales Creek Road is closed following a single vehicle crash between Sargent Road and Old Wilson Road in downtown Gales Creek. A detour exists around the crash via Sargent Road.
Highway 6 is closed in Gales Creek near mile post 42, just west of the Gales Creek Road and Wilson River Highway junction after a tree fell across the highway and a tanker truck hit the downed tree. 279 homes are also without power.
Gales Creek Road was closed Friday morning at Stringtown Rd after a car crashed and became engulfed in flames. There were no injuries, Forest Grove Fire & Rescue said.
A crash near the summit of the Coast Range on Highway 6 Saturday has resulted in a closure at milepost 33 until law enforcement and road crews can clear the crash and ODOT deems the highway safe to travel on.
Highway 6 is currently closed near Lees Camp in Tillamook County as emergency crews respond to a vehicle crash, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
