Someone donated a cremation urn with ashes to the Forest Grove Goodwill
The Forest Grove Police Department is in possession of a blue cremation urn, with ashes, and they would like to find the "rightful owner," the department said. It's not the first time it's happened.

The Forest Grove Police Department is in possession of a blue cremation urn, with ashes, and they would like to find the "rightful owner," the department said.
It wasn't immediately clear if the remains were of human origin or not. The department noted on Tuesday that neither the urn nor the ashes included any "numbers, names, or tags from any mortuaries."
It was found among other donations at the Forest Grove Goodwill, police said.
"While certainly unique, it is not the first time cremated remains have been turned in," Forest Grove Police Department Sergeant Andrew Colasurdo told News in the Grove. He said the urn was turned into police on July 22.
In a more dramatic turn of events elsewhere in western Washington County, a Banks man won a car at auction in 2023, popped open the trunk the next day after taking possession of the vehicle, and found a human skull.
The department urged anyone with information about the urn to contact the department's Property & Evidence division at 503-992-3260.
