Forest Grove Fire & Rescue sends crew to fight Cold Springs Fire near Hermiston
Gales Creek resident Neal Hammond was set to take his seat on the Forest Grove Rural Fire Protection District Board Wednesday night. Instead, he was on wildfire duty near Hermiston called away at the last minute. Forest Grove Fire & Rescue also sent two personnel to the fire.
Fire danger to rise to 'Moderate' Thursday
In advance of Independence Day, the Oregon Department of Forestry is raising fire danger from low to moderate in areas in and around the Tillamook Forest and near Forest Grove.

During a short Forest Grove School Board meeting held Tuesday afternoon, three new members of the Forest Grove School Board—Brisa Franco, Peter Truax, and Alma Lozano—were sworn into office.
