The city of Forest Grove said Wednesday's Farmers Market was cancelled due to the forecast of extreme heat.

The Portland office of the National Weather Service earlier issued an Extreme Heat Watch, noting that temperatures could reach 100 degrees on Wednesday.

The market, managed by the nonprofit Adelante Mujeres, usually runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Main Street and 21st Avenue.
