For the first time this season, the gates at Fern Hill Road are up.
“Fern Hill Road is closed between Taylor Way and Geiger Road due to flooding,” the Washington County Department of Land Use and Transportation said just after 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 10.
Before driving the road during periods of heavy rain, it’s always good practice to check out the cameras on tripcheck.com to see if it’s closed or not.
News in the Grove readers can also check out a tool we've built to see the status of the road at a glance.
Two gates—one at Taylor Way and one at Geiger Road—on Fern Hill Road are shut by county crews as water floods the roadway.
“Avoid the area; use alternate route,” the Washington County said.
