Each day the Forest Grove Police Department receives and responds to anywhere from 60-80 calls for service - give or take a few. This includes calls and reports generated by the community, as well as self-initiated activity over the course of three shifts, 24/7.
In the month of September 2025, we serviced 1,856 calls total.
Of those, 746 were calls made to dispatch (911 or non-emergency), and 1,110 were self-initiated (such as traffic stops and extra patrols).
Officers also made 46 arrests during the month, however that number includes arrests that resulted in citations as well as trips to the jail.
Police also conducted 63 welfare checks, 340 traffic stops, as well as 163 extra patrols - specifically spending time at and around a particular area to address suspicious activity, traffic safety, and/or community concerns.
Among the 1,856 calls, the FGPD responded to 90 calls involving suspicious persons, vehicles, or circumstances, as well as: 24 thefts, 6 assaults, 1 burglary, 10 DUIIs, 12 hit-and-runs, and 33 disturbances.
