The Eighth Annual Ballad Town Harmony in the Grove picnic is set to take place on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The program features a random draw quartet contest, raffle prizes, and free hot dogs and chips for guests to enjoy. Guests are invited to bring their choruses, quartets or attend solo, according to a flyer sent out by the Ballad Town Harmony promoting the event.
Ballad Town Harmony is a member chorus of the Tualatin Valley Harmony Masters chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
“TVHM is a performing arts organization that preserves and encourages the barbershop style in our community and our schools by participating in performances, concerts, contests and by donating its time and talents through our chorus and quartets,” said a post on the Tualatin Valley Harmony Masters website.
The group’s website lists their motto as “Keep The Whole World Singing.”
The picnic will be held at Forest Grove’s Rogers Park, located at 2421 17th Avenue.
